Geethu Mohandas (Gayathri Das)

Gayatri Das known professionally as Geetu Mohandas is a film actress and director.

She entered the world of acting in 1986 as a child artist in the film 'Onnu Muthal Poojyam Vare'. She was merely five years old at that time.

Geetu took her first step as an adult actress in the movie 'Life is Beautiful', where she shared the screen with Mohanlal.

In 2009, Geetu Mohandas established her own film production company called Unplugged. Under this banner, she produced her debut directorial short fiction film titled 'Kelkkunnundo Are You Listening'.

Geethu completed her Graduate studies at Weston Collegiate Institute, Toronto.

She received Kerala State Award for Best Child Artist in 1986.

The debut film 'Kelkkunnundo Are You Listening' directed by her received acclaim, earning three international awards for Best Short Fiction, in addition to the National Film Award in India.

Furthermore, her film 'Liar's Dice' (2013) achieved great recognition, garnering six significant international awards worldwide, along with two National awards in India.

She won the Global film maker award at Sundance Film Festival in 2016.

She is the daughter of Mohandas and Latha. She has one brother, Dr. Arjun Das.

She tied the knot with Rajeev Ravi, a cinematographer, in November 2009. They have a daughter named Aradhana.
