Basil Joseph is a film director and actor.
He started his career in the Malayalam film industry by assisting Vineeth Sreenivasan in Thira in 2013. His first appearance as an actor was in 2013 for the film Up & Down: Mukalil Oralundu.
So far he has directed 3 films and appeared in over 30 films.
He is an alumnus of College of Engineering, Trivandrum. He did a short Stint as a software engineer at Infosys Trivandrum before quitting to pursue a career in the film industry.
Basil Joseph's father's name is Joseph Pallippattu and he is a priest.
Basil married Elizabeth Samuel On 17 August 2017. They have a daughter together named Hope, born February 2023
