Gopi Sundar is a music director, playback singer, songwriter etc. He started his career composing music for television commercials. His first film as a music director was Roshan Andrew’s Malayalam musical “Notebook” in 2006. So far he has been part of over 175 films.
He won several awards during his career. Notable ones include the National film awards in 2015 for best music direction (background score) for the film “1983”, Kerala state film awards in 2018 for best background music for the film “take-off” and North American award for the best music director for the film “Charlie”, ”Ennu ninte moidheen”.
He was born to Suresh Babu and Livi Suresh. He married Priya on 19 January 2001. They have two children Madhav Sundar and Yaadav Sundar. Priya and Sundar are currently separated, and he is currently in a relationship with Abhaya Hiranmayi (Playback singer)
