Harisree Ashokan started his career as a mimicry artist in the troupe Harisree and then worked in Kalabhavan. His screen debut was in 1986 for the movie Pappan Priyappetta Pappan. He has starred in over 200 films since then. He made his directorial debut through the movie An International Local Story.
