I. M. Vijayan

Inivalappil Mani Vijayan (I.M. Vijayan), is a former professional Indian football player who also captained the India national football team. He is currently the head of all India football federation Technical Committee.

He made his debut in international football in the year 1989. After retiring from football, Vijayan started a career in acting and has acted in over 20 films.

Vijayan has awarded Arjuna Award the second highest sporting honour of India in 2003. He was nominated for Padma Shri in 2020. He was crowned Indian Player of the Year in 1993, 1997 and 1999 the first player to win the award multiple times. He received All India Football Federation (AIFF) Player of the Year three times in 1992, 1997, 2000

He is married to Raji Vijayan.
