K. B. Ganesh Kumar (Keezhoote Balakrishna Pillai Ganesh Kumar)

Keezhoote Balakrishna Pillai Ganesh Kumar is an actor, television host, and politician.

He is the current MLA of Kerala Congress (B) representing the Pathanapuram constituency in Kollam, Kerala. He was elected for the first time in May 2001 from Pathanapuram, and since then has been undefeated.

Ganesh Kumar has starred in over 100 Malayalam films. He made his debut as an actor in the film Irakal (1985). He has also acted in about 19 TV serials.

Ganesh Kumar still continues his acting career while also performing his role as MLA.

In 2007, he won the Kerala State Television Award for Best Actor in a Lead role for the Serial Madhavam.

KB Ganesh Kumar is the son of R. Balakrishna Pillai, former Minister of Kerala. His mother's name is Valsala Kumari.

He was married to Dr Yamini Thankachy on 20 May 1994. The couple has two sons, Adithyan and Devaraman. The couple later divorced in April 2013.

Ganesh married Bindhu Menon on 24 January 2014. They have a son together.

The Kerala Congress (B) was a constituent of UDF until 2014 and is now part of LDF.

In April 2013, he resigned from the cabinet due to the domestic violence case filed by his ex-wife Yamini Thankachi.
