Kochouseph Chittilappilly

He is the founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of V-Guard Industries Ltd and a chain of amusement parks called Wonderla. In 1977, he founded V-Guard Industries, a small voltage stabilizer manufacturing unit with a capital of ₹100,000. Founded with just 2 employees, V-Guard has grown to become the largest selling stabilizer brand in India

Chittilappilly is also a writer and has published about 5 books over the years (autobiographical as well as business-related )

He did his degree at Christ College, Irinjalakuda. Followed it with a MSc in Physics from St. Thomas College, Thrissur. After his studies, he worked at Telics, a Thiruvananthapuram based electronics company manufacturing voltage stabilizers and emergency lamps.

Chittilappilly is a recipient of the Rashtriya Samman award from the Government of India for being among the highest taxpayers

His father's name is C. O. Thomas . Chittilapilly is married to Sheila and the couple has two sons Arun Chittilappilly and Mithun Chittilappilly.

In 2000, he started the first water theme park in Kerala Veegaland (later renamed as Wonderla Kochi).
