Mukesh (Mukesh Madhavan)

Mukesh is a film actor, producer, television presenter, and politician. Mukesh began his film career in the movie Balloon in 1982. So far he has acted in over 270 films. He has also been part of several TV shows over the years. Mukesh started Kalidasa Visual Magic for play productions in 2008. His first play was Chayamukhi with Actor Mohanlal. Mukesh is also a politician and member of the Communist Party of India (Marxist). He is the current MLA representing the Kollam constituency of Kerala state.

He attended Infant Jesus School, Tangasseri and pursued a bachelor's degree in science (B.Sc.) from Sree Narayana College in Kollam. He holds a second bachelor's degree in law (LLB) from Kerala Law Academy Law College, Thiruvananthapuram.

Mukesh was born to O. Madhavan and Vijayakumari (both actors). He has two sisters, Sandhya Rajendran and Jayasree. He was married to South Indian film actress Saritha in 1988, they had a divorce in 2011. He then married dance scholar Methil Devika on 24 October 2013. The couple filed for divorce in 2021.
