M. V. Nikesh Kumar

M. V. Nikesh Kumar is a journalist/politician. He is also a member of the Communist Party of India (Marxist).

He started his career as a news reporter in Asianet, later moving onto India vision, anchoring various programmes based on contemporary social and political issues. He is currently the managing director of Reporter TV.

He returned to journalism after a break of 1-year post the 2016 legislative polls and is now anchoring the MV Nikesh Kumar Show.

He holds a bachelor's degree in English literature from Mar Ivanios College, Thiruvananthapuram.

He was awarded the Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism Award in 2006, while he was working at Indiavision.

Nikesh is the youngest son of the late CMP leader and former minister M. V. Raghavan. He is married to Rani Varghese and has two children - Sankaran Nikesh and Janaki Theresa Nikesh.
