Mythili made her Malayalam film debut in 2009 with “Paleri Manikyam: oru pathirakolapathakathinte kadha”, in which Mammootty played the lead role. She made her playback singing debut in the Malayalam thriller “Loham” in which Mohanlal played the lead role. She has appeared in over 35 films.
Mythili attended St. Mary's High School, Konni Eliarakkal, until the seventh grade and later at Amrita VHSS, Konni. Her higher secondary education was at Government HSS, Konni. She has a degree in Bachelor of Commerce and she is also a trained classical dancer.
She has also won several awards notably the Asianet film awards 2012 for best star pair for the movie “Salt n pepper”, Filmfare Awards South- Best Supporting Actress for the film “Ee adutha kaalathu”.
Mythili was born to Balachandran and Beena Balachandran. She has a brother Bibin Balachandran .
